On May 20, 2026, in Gevgelija, police officers from the Gevgelija Police Station, in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and motorcycle clubs from Gevgelija, conducted a preventive activity titled "Ride Safely on a Motorcycle," reminding participants of traffic rules, regulations, and obligations for careful and responsible participation in traffic, aiming to enhance the safety of motorcycle riders. Drivers were reminded of the obligation to wear a helmet, which applies to both them and their passengers, emphasizing that every participant in traffic is equally responsible for their own safety as well as for the safety of all other road users.
In Štip and Sveti Nikole, today (May 21, 2026), police officers from the Štip Police Department carried out a preventive activity focused on proper parking and the use of seat belts. During this, they were informed that wearing a seat belt is a legal obligation for both drivers and passengers in vehicles, aimed at increasing personal safety. As part of the activities, printed educational materials were distributed, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
In Berovo and Pehčevo, police officers from the Štip Police Department conducted preventive activities to prevent fires and illegal logging. The police officers, in conversation with citizens, highlighted the need for maximum diligence and care for the forest resources. Additionally, citizens were informed that illegal logging and causing fires are criminal offenses that are appropriately sanctioned by law. Printed educational materials were also distributed to citizens, created in collaboration with the Public Enterprise "National Forests."
