Today (January 22, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the Public Security Bureau in Veles and the Traffic Safety Police Station conducted preventive activities in several locations in Veles, focusing on road safety under the themes "Use Winter Equipment" and "Speed Kills." The police officers directly communicated with drivers about the necessity of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, with particular emphasis on the winter season, when road conditions demand maximum caution, making it especially important to comply with the provisions for seasonal use of winter equipment. Additionally, drivers were reminded of their obligation to adjust their driving speed according to the conditions of traffic and the state of the roads. Printed educational materials were also distributed, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje. Similar preventive activities were carried out in Stip by police officers from the Stip Traffic Safety Police Station.
In the Tetovo area, police officers from the Prevention Department of the Public Security Bureau in Tetovo conducted a preventive-educational activity under the motto "Park Conscientiously - Park Responsibly." Drivers were informed about the consequences for traffic safety that could arise from improper parking, especially to the detriment of pedestrians and cyclists.
