Today (December 29, 2025), police officers from the Police Department of Tetovo, the Police Department of Veles, and the Police Department of Stip carried out preventive activities for safe traffic, with a special emphasis on not driving under the influence of alcohol. Through direct communication with citizens, as well as by distributing educational flyers, it was emphasized that alcohol is one of the main causes of traffic accidents during this period and that they must not consume alcohol if they are operating a motor vehicle, as it is a key factor for safely reaching their desired destination. Such activities were conducted by police officers from the Police Station of Negotino with students from the third and fourth grades at the Primary School "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Negotino, police officers from the Police Station of Kavadarci in the Kavadarci area, police officers from the Police Station of Stip in the territory of Stip, as well as police officers from the Prevention Unit at the Police Department of Tetovo and the Police Station of Gostivar in the central urban area of Gostivar, where, in coordination with a team from the Emergency Medical Service, a simulation exercise was held for citizens to see the consequences of disregarding traffic rules.
In the territory of the Police Department of Stip, preventive activities were also carried out to prevent the use of pyrotechnic devices. Police officers from the Police Station of Vinica and the Police Station of Sveti Nikole held educational lectures in the primary schools "Slavcho Stojmenski" and "Goce Delchev" in Vinica, as well as "Cyril and Methodius" in Sveti Nikole. The children were informed about the harmful consequences that the use of pyrotechnic devices can cause, as well as the penal provisions that sanction those who illegally sell, acquire, or use pyrotechnic devices.
