Today (December 18, 2025), police officers from the Police Station of Delčevo, the Police Station of Berovo, and the Police Station of Probishtip, under the Regional Police Department of Štip, conducted preventive activities in the area of Delčevo, Berovo, and Probishtip, focusing on traffic safety, the use of winter equipment, seat belts, proper parking, and pedestrian safety. The police officers, through direct communication, emphasized to drivers the necessity of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, for their own safety as well as the safety of all other participants in traffic. It was highlighted that during the winter period, road conditions require maximum attention, making the use of winter equipment particularly important. Additionally, the need to respect the rules concerning pedestrians, as the most vulnerable category of traffic participants, was underscored. The use of seat belts is primarily aimed at personal safety and significantly contributes to reducing the severity of injuries in the event of a traffic accident. Drivers were also provided with printed educational materials prepared by the National Council for Road Traffic Safety.
Police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Veles and the OVK Kavadarci, along with a doctor from the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, conducted lectures as part of the campaign "No Pyrotechnics for Safer Holidays" for students at the high schools "Gjorche Petrov," "Kiro Spandzhov Brko," and "Dobrі Daskalov," as well as the elementary schools "Dimkata Angelov Gaberot" and "Tode Hadzhi Tefo" in Kavadarci. The lectures emphasized that the use of pyrotechnic materials poses a significant risk to health, especially for children, and can lead to severe and lasting injuries and health consequences. At the same time, it was highlighted that the sale and use of pyrotechnic materials are strictly regulated by law, and penalties are imposed on those who violate these measures. The aim of the educational lectures is to raise awareness among children about the dangers of using pyrotechnic materials in anticipation of the New Year’s celebrations.
A lecture on the same topic was also held by police officers from the PS Probishtip at the primary school "Nikola Karev" in Probishtip, while preventive activities aimed at preventing the use of pyrotechnic materials were carried out by police officers from the PS Pehchevo in the central area of Pehchevo.
