On the occasion of October 11 – the Day of the National Uprising, on October 11, 2026, in the areas of Štip, Delčevo, Kočani, Vinica, Sveti Nikole, and Makedonska Kamenica, the Prevention Unit of the Police Department of Štip and police officers from the relevant internal affairs departments carried out a preventive campaign under the motto "Celebrate with Heart, Not with Weapons."
Through direct communication with citizens and the distribution of educational leaflets, the police officers conveyed messages about the dangers and consequences of using firearms during celebrations, emphasizing personal and collective responsibility, as well as the importance of timely reporting of illegal weapon use.
On the same day, police officers from the Police Station of Probištip conducted preventive activities as part of the campaigns "Celebrate with Heart, Not with Weapons," "Every Bullet Has a Target," and "Focus on Safety." In direct communication with hunters, especially during the hunting season, the need for strict adherence to safety rules when handling and using firearms was emphasized, along with the legal obligations regarding weapon registration.
Through these preventive activities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to raise public awareness and encourage responsible behavior, aiming to protect the lives and health of citizens and enhance safety in the community.
