Yesterday (30 July 2026), in Krushevo, police officers from the Krushevo Police Department within the Bitola Regional Police Department carried out the preventive campaign "Alcohol and Driving Are Not a Good Combination." The campaign aimed to raise drivers' awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, at several locations in Novaci, police officers from the Novaci Police Unit conducted preventive activities yesterday and today under the slogan "The Police Are Your Friend." The activities focused on promoting road safety, protecting citizens from theft, fraud and robbery, strengthening cooperation between the public and the police, and encouraging the timely reporting of criminal offences.
On 31 July 2026, at several locations in Shtip, police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Shtip Regional Police Department, in cooperation with officers from the Shtip Police Station, conducted a preventive campaign on the topic "Prevention and Protection Against Theft, Burglary and Fraud." During direct conversations with elderly citizens, officers explained the relevant legal provisions and the measures that can be taken to protect themselves against these types of property crimes. They also provided advice on personal safety and self-protection.
Today and yesterday (31 and 30 July 2026), several preventive activities were carried out across the area covered by the Veles Regional Police Department.
Today, in the village of Gorno Orizari and the Prevalec neighbourhood in Veles, police officers spoke with local residents as part of the campaign "Flames Are Unstoppable." Citizens were informed about preventive measures to help protect forests from wildfires, while emphasising the importance of greater public cooperation and the timely reporting of any irresponsible behaviour that could lead to fires.
Also today, in the Kavadarci area, citizens were reminded of the legal obligation to wear seat belts while travelling in vehicles and of the importance of consistently complying with all traffic rules and regulations in order to improve both personal safety and the safety of all road users.
Yesterday, preventive road safety campaigns were also carried out in Veles and Negotino. Under the messages "Don't Use a Mobile Phone While Driving" and "Ride Safely on E-scooters and Bicycles," police officers promoted responsible behaviour in traffic with the primary goal of improving road safety awareness and enhancing the safety of all road users.
