Yesterday (28.12), organized by the Regional Center for Border Affairs South, preventive activities were carried out at the border crossings Stari Dojran, Bogorodica and Medžitlija under the theme “Stop pyrotechnics across the state border”.
As part of the activities, informational flyers were distributed to citizens at the entry and exit points of the country, informing them that transporting firecrackers, explosive substances and other pyrotechnic devices across the state border without the appropriate permit is strictly prohibited and represents a serious violation of security regulations.
Citizens were also informed about the possible consequences of the use of pyrotechnic devices, especially the risks to health and personal safety, as well as the threats to public order and peace.
The aim of these preventive activities is to raise public awareness about the dangers of using pyrotechnic devices during the New Year holidays and to remind citizens of the legal ban on transporting such items across the state border.
