Today (16 June 2026), at the City Market in Veles and in Demir Kapija, police officers from the Prevention Unit of SVR Veles and the Police Office in Demir Kapija carried out a preventive and educational activity on protection against property crimes under the theme “Secure Your Home.” Citizens were informed about the need for increased vigilance and ways to protect themselves from various types and forms of theft, with the aim of improving personal and property security. The activity was particularly focused on elderly citizens, who are more frequent targets of property-related crimes. They were advised to properly secure their homes, take care of their personal belongings, and exercise special caution when communicating with unknown persons.
Police officers from the Police Department in Chashka also conducted a preventive activity today in Chashka under the theme “Do Not Be a Silent Witness,” aimed at preventing all forms of gender-based violence and informing citizens about the procedures and actions to be taken when such cases occur. Printed educational materials were distributed as part of the campaign.
On 16 June 2026, the Prevention Department of SVR Skopje conducted a preventive and educational campaign on forest fire prevention along the Skopje–Blace highway. Citizens were reminded of the importance of protecting forests from fires and were advised to immediately report any outdoor fire to the emergency number 112. Educational materials were also distributed during the activity.
On 16 June 2026, police officers from the Traffic Police Stations in Shtip, Delchevo, and Sveti Nikole carried out preventive activities under the slogans “Do Not Use a Mobile Phone While Driving,” “Drive a Roadworthy Vehicle,” and “Wear a Seat Belt.” During these activities, citizens received leaflets containing educational content and practical advice on complying with traffic rules and regulations. The goal was to enhance road safety.
In Shtip, an additional activity was conducted focusing on the protection of forests from fires and illegal logging. Through discussions with citizens, police officers emphasized the need for maximum responsibility and care for forest resources. Citizens were also informed that illegal logging constitutes a criminal offense and can cause long-term damage to forest ecosystems, the recovery of which may take decades. Educational materials containing informative content, prepared in cooperation with the Public Enterprise “National Forests,” were distributed.
Meanwhile, preventive activities were carried out in Berovo under the slogan “Be Careful and Responsible When Using Agricultural Machinery in Traffic.” The importance of complying with traffic rules and regulations was emphasized, particularly regarding the use of agricultural machinery during the tourist season and ongoing agricultural activities.
