While serving a prison sentence for domestic violence at the Štip Prison, a 44-year-old man from the Radovish area allegedly called his 25-year-old wife by phone and threatened to kill her and members of her family after his release from prison.
The incident was reported on August 11, 2026. Following the report, the Department of Criminal Police – Sector for General and Violent Crime and Domestic Violence, in coordination with the Štip Internal Affairs Sector and the Radovish Police Department, took measures to investigate and clear up the case.
Police officers, in coordination with employees of the prison, located the mobile phone from which the call was made, after which an official interview was conducted with the suspect.
Following the full documentation of the case and in coordination with a public prosecutor, appropriate charges will be filed against the 44-year-old man.
