The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs the public that, following the completion of final testing, the Safe City traffic surveillance system cameras have been put into operation on the motorway section between the villages of Gorenci and Trebenishta, in the Municipality of Debrca.
The Safe City cameras will soon become operational on roads in Ohrid and the surrounding region, where the equipment has already been installed and is currently undergoing final technical inspections and testing.
The Safe City system will enable enhanced and continuous traffic monitoring, detection of traffic violations, improved traffic discipline, and a higher level of road safety. Its implementation is also expected to contribute to a reduction in the number of traffic accidents.
The Ministry appeals to all drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations so that, together, we can make the country's roads safer.
