On February 11, 2026, we were informed by the relevant authorities in Serbia that Sait Saitov from Skopje has been detained in Belgrade, who is wanted under an international warrant issued by the Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs, on suspicion of committing serious criminal offenses "against the safety of people and property in traffic" and "failure to assist a person injured in a traffic accident," related to a criminal incident that occurred in Skopje on January 9, 2026.
Saitov has been placed in extradition detention, and a procedure is underway between the ministries of justice of both countries, aimed at his extradition to Macedonia and bringing him before the courts for appropriate sanctioning.
