On 19.05.2026 at 18:00 in Tetovo, police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia Sector for Internal Affairs Tetovo deprived a 16-year-old minor from Tetovo of liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “aggravated theft” under Article 236 of the Criminal Code.
Namely, he is suspected of having committed thefts in several mosques over the past two weeks, most recently in a mosque on “176” Street in Tetovo, where he used force to break open a metal donation box and stole money from it.
The minor has been detained at a police station, a public prosecutor has been informed, and after the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed.
