Throughout yesterday, police officers across the entire territory of the country detained nine drivers, three of whom were for driving without a license, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and for driving despite having an active ban on operating a Category B vehicle.
Two drivers in Gevgelija and one in Gostivar were operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. One driver each in Veles, Kumanovo, and the municipality of Staro Nagorichane were driving vehicles despite having an active ban. One driver in Tetovo was operating a vehicle without a driver's license, one minor in Prilep was riding a moped without a license, and one driver in Kicevo was driving an unregistered passenger vehicle without a driver's license. After fully documenting the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We urge all participants in traffic to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate a vehicle without having passed the driving test, or if they have been issued a ban on driving, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and together, let us contribute to safer traffic.
