Yesterday, Nine Drivers Were Deprived of Liberty for Driving Without a License, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Despite an Active Ban

During the course of yesterday, police officers across the entire territory of the country deprived nine drivers of liberty. Of these, six were detained for driving without a valid driver’s license, one for operating an unregistered vehicle without a driver’s license, one for driving under the influence of alcohol, and one for driving a vehicle despite having an active ban on operating a Category B motor vehicle.

Two drivers in Negotino (one of whom was a minor), as well as one driver each in Tetovo, Kochani, Gevgelija, and Skopje (also a minor), were operating vehicles without a driver’s license. One driver in Kavadarci was operating an unregistered vehicle without a driver’s license. Meanwhile, one driver in Veles was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and one driver in Kochani was operating a vehicle despite having an active driving ban.

After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.

We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate vehicles without a valid driver’s license, not to drive if they are subject to a driving ban, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol, so that together we may contribute to safer traffic for everyone.
