Yesterday, 15 drivers were deprived of liberty for driving without a license, with an active driving ban, driving under the influence of alcohol, and operating unregistered vehicles – one of them a minor

During the course of yesterday, police officers across the entire territory of the country deprived of liberty 15 drivers. Two were detained in Tetovo, and one each in the Kočani region, Kumanovo, Gostivar, the Strumica region, Strumica, Negotino, and Kavadarci for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. The driver in Gostivar and the minor in Kavadarci had previously been involved in traffic accidents.

One driver in Struga and one in Veles were operating vehicles despite having an active ban on driving a category B motor vehicle, while one driver in Bogdanci was operating an unregistered vehicle. Additionally, one driver in Kriva Palanka was driving under the influence of alcohol and without a driver’s license; one driver in Kumanovo was operating an unregistered vehicle without a driver’s license; and one driver in Makedonski Brod was driving under the influence of alcohol and with an active ban on driving a category B motor vehicle.

The individuals were taken to police stations, and following instructions from a public prosecutor, the vehicles were seized. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.

We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate vehicles without having passed a driving exam, not to drive if they have been issued a driving ban, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol, so that together we can contribute to safer traffic.
