Toshkovski: 26 Years Marked Since the Death of the Police Heroes in Aračinovo

Today marks 26 years since the tragic death of the police officers and Macedonian heroes Kiril Petrushevski, Aco Angelovski, and Erol Gotak, who in 2000, while carrying out a routine police checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Aračinovo, were treacherously and brutally killed in an ambush.

On this occasion, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Panče Toshkovski, today laid fresh flowers at the Monument to the Defenders within the premises of the Gazi Baba Police Station, paying tribute to their sacrifice and heroism.

Toshkovski once again emphasized that the actions and selflessness of the fallen police officers represent a lasting legacy and a powerful reminder of the importance of service in protecting security and the state.

The heroes of Macedonia remain forever embedded in the collective memory, and their sacrifice will continue to inspire present and future generations.
