Toskoski and Mickoski at the promotion of 120 new vehicles for the Macedonian police: After 15 years, new vehicles for the police - an investment in safety and the dignity of the police officer

Today, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Panche Toskoski, and the President of the Government, Hristijan Mickoski, attended the promotion of 120 new official vehicles intended for the needs of the Macedonian police, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the material and technical capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The new vehicles will be distributed to police organizational units across the country and will contribute to more efficient execution of daily police tasks, quicker field interventions, and increased police presence where citizens have the greatest need for safety.

Minister Toskoski emphasized that this procurement of police vehicles is the first in 15 years, involving modern and powerful vehicles that will enable police officers to perform their duties much more effectively. Toskoski added that this procurement is a clear indicator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' commitment to creating better working conditions for police officers.

"The vehicles, equipped with all modern technological features, are designed to meet all challenges just like any other police force in the world. All vehicles will be installed with the latest 'Tetra' systems, providing necessary information for police officers on-site to carry out all required checks, data analyzes we have in the ministry, analyzes of misdemeanor records, and everything else needed for them to be efficient in their work and, ultimately, to respond to all challenges with equipment, information, and technology, just like any other European country," stated Minister Toskoski.

Minister Toshkovski emphasized that the value of the procurement is 202,600,000, with savings of over 30 million denars that will be used to purchase additional equipment for police officers, and informed that the vehicles come with a five-year warranty for regular service, which further reduces maintenance costs.

In conclusion, the minister expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the project, to the Prime Minister Kristian Mickoski, Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, his team, and the leadership of the ministry, highlighting that with such investments, the state sends a clear message that the safety of citizens and the dignity of the police profession are top priorities, and a strong police force means a stable and secure Macedonia.

Prime Minister Kristian Mickoski welcomed this successfully completed project, which enhances the mobility of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) members, and emphasized that the government remains committed to such types of projects that improve the capacities of all its institutions.

"The safety of citizens and the eradication of crime and corruption are our top priorities as a government." The Ministry of Interior is an inseparable link in that process. "Such a project means less crime and fewer criminals," emphasized Prime Minister Mickoski.

The Ministry of Interior points out that the procurement of new vehicles is part of a broader process of police modernization, which also includes the renewal of equipment, digitization of processes, enhancement of training, and systemic reforms aimed at creating a professional, efficient, and modern police service.
