Today, a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, composed of the Chief of Staff to the Minister, Risto Stavrevski, and the State Advisor in the Minister's office, Vladimir Velkovski, on behalf of Minister Panche Toshkovski, held a working meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates based in Rome, H.E. Abdulla Ali Ateek Obaid Alsobousi, who is on an official visit to our country from November 24 to 25.
During the meeting, it was confirmed that the bilateral relations and cooperation between Macedonia and the UAE are characterized by a high degree of friendship and mutual understanding, with great potential for further enhancement and deepening of collaboration in all areas of common interest, particularly intensified by the signing of memorandums of understanding for combating terrorism and for mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses.
Stavrevski emphasized and expressed gratitude for the support and commitment of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, especially the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this friendly nation, towards the development of the Ministry's capacities in the fight against organized crime and extremism, expressing confidence that this support will continue with unwavering intensity in the future.
Among other things, the meeting highlighted that the focus of bilateral relations between the two countries is placed on enhancing economic cooperation, particularly in attracting Arab investments to our country.
