On 21 June 2026 at 17:26 in Gevgelija, police officers from the Strumica Regional Police Department – Gevgelija Police Department arrested B.S. (51) from Gevgelija following a report that, at a weekend house in a village in the Gevgelija area, he had physically assaulted his 50-year-old wife, causing injuries to her head and body. He was detained at the Gevgelija Police Station, and a public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was informed of the case.
On 22 June 2026 at 06:50, a 37-year-old woman reported to the Skopje Regional Police Department that on 21 June 2026 at around 22:30, in her parents’ home in the Bit Pazar area, her husband G.J. (31) from Skopje had threatened her and her family.
On 22 June 2026 at 01:50 in the Skopje area, police officers from the Skopje Regional Police Department arrested N.I. (73) after a report that on 21 June 2026 at around 17:30, he had physically assaulted his 35-year-old daughter in their home using a hard object.
On 21 June 2026 at 13:25, a 45-year-old man reported to the Skopje Regional Police Department that he had been physically assaulted in his home in the Karpoš area by his wife A.P.S. (44), who had also thrown hard objects at him.
On 21 June 2026 at 16:00 in Skopje, in the Centar area, police officers from the Skopje Regional Police Department arrested D.S. (37) after a report that she had physically assaulted her 69-year-old mother in their home in the Gazi Baba area.
On 21 June 2026 at 16:25 in Skopje, in the Gjorče Petrov area, police officers arrested I.S. (44) from Skopje following a report by his 46-year-old wife that on 20 June 2026 at around 23:30, he had arrived at a hospitality venue in the Skopje area where a family celebration was taking place and had made threats.
On 21 June 2026 at 14:30 in a village in the Tetovo area, police officers from the Žerovjane Police Department arrested M.M. (30) from the same village after being reported by his 61-year-old relative for making threats against him.
On 21 June 2026 at 19:00, police officers from the Tetovo Regional Police Department arrested A.I. (28) from Tetovo. Earlier, his 51-year-old mother reported that at around 12:00 in the family home, A.I. had become aggressive and damaged household property after she refused to give him the amount of money he demanded. He then threatened his 24-year-old wife with a knife and physically assaulted his mother.
On 21 June 2026 at 23:50, police officers from the Kumanovo Regional Police Department arrested M.M. (34) from Kumanovo following a report that he had gone to the family home of his 23-year-old ex-wife and threatened to physically assault her.
Measures are being taken to fully investigate all cases, and appropriate charges will be filed against the perpetrators upon completion of the investigations.
