During the past 24 hours, police officers across the country detained 17 drivers for reckless driving. Fourteen individuals were found driving without a valid driver's license, including five minors, while three drivers were operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
Six individuals in Skopje (including two minors), four in Tetovo (including three minors), and one person each in Kumanovo, Veles, Ohrid, and Prilep were found driving without a driver's license.
Additionally, one driver each in Kumanovo, Makedonska Kamenica, and Skopje was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver in Skopje had previously struck a parked Ford vehicle while driving a Ford, causing material damage only.
Upon completion of the investigation and documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic laws and regulations, not to drive without a valid driver's license, while subject to a driving ban, or under the influence of alcohol. Together, we can contribute to safer roads for everyone.
