On October 31, 2026, and November 1, 2026, at various locations in the state, police officers discovered and seized marijuana, cocaine, brown powdered substances, as well as items with traces of marijuana. As part of the undertaken activities, five individuals were deprived of their liberty or detained.
At the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entering the state on October 31, 2026, at 1:10 PM, police officers detained D.P.H. (43) from Germany, who was found to have marijuana in his personal luggage during a search. On the same day, at 4:00 PM, S.M. (37) from Germany was also detained after marijuana was found and seized during a search of the camper vehicle "Opel" with German license plates that he had arrived in. Both individuals were handed over to a police station for further proceedings.
In Skopje, in the Center area, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained T.I. (35) from Shtip, who was found to have marijuana.
On October 31, 2026, at 9:20 PM, it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that during a search of four convicted individuals at the Correctional Facility "Idrizovo," 54 packets containing brown powdered substances were found and seized.
On the same day, at 9:00 PM, on the local road from the village of Bogovinje to the village of Selce Kec, police officers from the Police Station in Kamenjane conducted a search of a parked passenger vehicle "BMW" with Tetovo registration plates, during which cocaine was found on E.A. (37) from the village of Bogovinje. He was detained and held at the police station. On November 1, 2026, at 2:40 AM, on "Partizanska" Street in Ohrid, C.V. (18) from a village near Struga was detained, and during a search, items with traces of marijuana were found and seized. After the cases are fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against the individuals.
