On November 17, 2025, the Prevention Department of SVR Kumanovo conducted a preventive activity at multiple locations throughout the city, where vehicle traffic is the heaviest, to commemorate November 16—Day of Remembrance for Victims of Traffic Accidents.
In conversations with drivers, an appeal was made for them to behave conscientiously and responsibly while operating a motor vehicle, to refrain from using alcohol or psychoactive substances, and to avoid using mobile phones, as these are the most common causes of traffic accidents that can have life-threatening consequences for drivers, passengers, and other road users.
Drivers were given preventive leaflets in collaboration with the RSBSP, serving as a reminder to adhere to traffic rules and regulations as outlined in the Road Traffic Safety Law, to foster greater traffic awareness and responsible behavior on the roads, all aimed at preventing traffic accidents with tragic outcomes.
Additionally, drivers were informed about the commencement of the mandatory obligation to carry winter equipment, which began on November 15 and will last until March 15, 2026. It is required of drivers to ensure and carry the necessary winter equipment in their motor vehicles as prescribed by law, thereby avoiding traffic accidents caused by non-compliance with the legal provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law.
