On 25 January 2026 at 15:10, at a location known as “Breza” in the area of the village of Buzalkovo, Veles region, police officers from the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs deprived of liberty Z.S. (57), Z.S. (27), M.S. (23), and M.J. (41), all from the village of Buzalkovo.
During an inspection of a tractor driven by the 57-year-old Z.S., a hunting rifle and three cartridges were found and seized. An inspection was also carried out on a passenger vehicle “Lada Niva” with Veles license plates, driven by the 27-year-old Z.S., with passengers M.S. and M.J., during which 16 hunting cartridges and other items were found and seized.
On 26 January 2026, police officers from the Unit for the Suppression of Illegal Trade in Drugs and Weapons at SIA Veles, acting on a court order, conducted a search of the home of the 57-year-old Z.S., where a spare barrel for a hunting rifle and a weapon permit were found and seized. A search was also conducted, based on a court order, at the home of M.S., where the following were found and seized: a weapon permit issued in the name of O.S. (52) from the village of Buzalkovo, a pump-action long firearm “Mossberg”, a semi-automatic short firearm “Zastava”, a semi-automatic long firearm “Browning”, carbine ammunition, 188 rounds of pistol ammunition, 68 rounds of hunting ammunition, a certificate for registered weapons, and an air gun “Hatsan”.
A public prosecutor has been informed, and after full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.
