On October 26, 2026, around 3:00 PM, police officers from the Border Surveillance Police Station in Mihajlovo, part of the Regional Center for Border Affairs South, along with the Department for Cross-Border Crime, Migration, Foreigners, and Readmission from the Regional Center for Border Affairs South and the Kavadarci Police Station, detained J.P. (69) from Kavadarci. Following investigative measures and gathered intelligence, searches were conducted at his weekend house and auxiliary premises located in an area known as "Vasov Grad" in Kavadarci, as well as at his residence in Kavadarci. During the search of the weekend house, the individual voluntarily surrendered a "Zastava" hunting rifle, three 12-gage hunting cartridges, approximately 13 kilograms of venison, and nine illegal hunting devices (traps), one of which contained remnants of biological traces.
A public prosecutor has been notified, and after the case is fully clarified and documented, charges will be filed against the individual for "illegal hunting" under Article 228 and "unauthorized manufacture, possession, and trade of weapons and explosive materials" under Article 396 of the Criminal Code.
