On 29 May 2026 at 08:40 in Veles, police officers from the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs deprived L.N. (62) of his liberty following a report that he had physically assaulted and threatened his minor daughter and physically assaulted his 56-year-old wife. After measures were taken and checks conducted, it was established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of 0.70‰, and he was detained at a police station. A public prosecutor and the Veles Center for Social Work were notified. Criminal charges were filed against L.N., and a pre-trial judge ordered a detention measure. He was subsequently transferred to the Skopje Penitentiary Institution to serve the detention measure.
On 29 May 2026 at 12:25, police officers from the Kumanovo Sector for Internal Affairs deprived D.S. (40) from Kumanovo of his liberty for physically assaulting his 49-year-old partner and her son.
On 29 May 2026 at 11:20, police officers from the Kumanovo Sector for Internal Affairs deprived N.C. (44) from Kumanovo of his liberty for physically assaulting his 39-year-old wife.
During the evening, the Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs registered two incidents related to reports against V.R. (57) from Tetovo. Namely, on 29 May 2026 at 23:40, his 78-year-old mother reported “endangerment of safety through domestic violence,” stating that he had been breaking objects and behaving aggressively in the family apartment. Subsequently, on 30 May 2026 at 00:17, their neighbor reported that on 29 May 2026 at approximately 18:10, V.R. rang her doorbell and injured her with a sharp object. With the assistance of the police and Emergency Medical Services in Tetovo, V.R. was transported and hospitalized in an appropriate healthcare institution in Skopje.
On 29 May 2026 at 23:30, a 39-year-old woman reported to the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs that on 27 May 2026, in the municipality of Gjorche Petrov, her former common-law partner, J.R., had threatened her.
On 29 May 2026 at 15:20 in Veles, police officers from the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs deprived D.D. (24) from Veles of his liberty following a report that he had physically assaulted his 25-year-old unmarried partner in their home.
On 19 May 2026 at 17:30, it was reported to the Ohrid Sector for Internal Affairs that A.N. from Ohrid had behaved aggressively toward his mother in the family home and had verbally threatened her life.
Measures are being taken to clarify all cases, and upon their full documentation, appropriate charges will be filed against the perpetrators.
