The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, from August 3 to 9, 2026, as a member of the Association of European Traffic Police – ROADPOL, along with 34 other European countries, is participating in the implementation of intensified traffic controls during the European Week of Controls.
The action controls are aimed at detecting and sanctioning drivers who exceed the permitted speed limit, with the goal of improving traffic safety and reducing the number of traffic accidents and their consequences.
Considering that we are in the summer vacation period, when the frequency of vehicles on the roads increases, the traffic police will carry out enhanced controls and preventive-repressive measures on the roadways throughout the country.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs appeals to all participants in traffic to respect traffic rules and regulations, to adjust their speed to the conditions of the road, and to contribute to the preservation of their own safety and the safety of other traffic participants through responsible behavior.
