Drivers deprived of their freedom in Struga and Debar were operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol, with the Debar resident causing a traffic accident

Last night (November 18, 2025) at 1:33 AM on the regional road Border Crossing Blato-Debar, near a place called "Shulanska Intersection," police officers from the Debar Police Department detained P.P. (33) from Debar. Earlier, a traffic accident occurred on the road involving a passenger vehicle, a Volkswagen Amarok with Debar license plates, driven by P.P., and a passenger vehicle, a Dacia Duster, owned by the Ministry of Interior. During the follow-up measures after the accident, it was determined that P.P. was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.86 per mille. A public prosecutor has been informed, and by their order, the individual has been detained. 

On November 17, 2025, at 3:20 PM on Boro Hadjieski Pute Street in Struga, police officers from the Struga Police Department detained S.M. (50) from the village of Frangovo, Struga region.During a traffic control, the police officers stopped a passenger vehicle, a Mercedes with Struga license plates, which was being driven by S.M. After measures were taken, it was found that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.64 per mille, after which he was removed from traffic and held at the police station. Following the complete documentation of the events, charges will be filed against them under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code - "reckless driving of a motor vehicle."
