On 24 January 2026 at 20:38, the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs received a report that at around 20:30 on Partizanska Street in Negotino, a passenger vehicle “Mazda” with Negotino license plates, driven by J.S. (38) from Negotino, lost control and crashed into an object, after which the driver left the scene. Later, on 4 July Street in Negotino, the vehicle and the driver were located. Following checks, it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 3.15‰, after which J.S. was deprived of liberty.
On 25 January 2026 at 01:22 on 3rd Macedonian Shock Brigade Street in Kumanovo, police officers from the Kumanovo Sector for Internal Affairs deprived D.K. (39) from Kumanovo of liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Lada Niva” with Kumanovo license plates, driven by D.K., and it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.62‰.
On 24 January 2026 at 21:55, police officers from the Štip Sector for Internal Affairs deprived Z.N. (62) from Štip of liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Yugo” with Štip license plates, driven by Z.N., and it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 2.74‰.
On 24 January 2026 at 22:35 on Gevgelija Boulevard in Gevgelija, police officers from the Gevgelija Police Station deprived O.P. (46) from the village of Selemli, Municipality of Bogdanci, of liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen” with Gevgelija license plates, driven by O.P., and it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.54‰.
On 25 January 2026 at 01:43 on regional road 1109 near the Paljurci Dam, police officers from the Gevgelija Police Station deprived D.T.M. (46) from Gevgelija of liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Mercedes” with Gevgelija license plates, driven by D.T.M., and it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.52‰.
After full documentation of the events, criminal charges will be filed under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code – “Reckless Driving of a Motor Vehicle”.
