On October 6, 2025, near the neighborhood of Nova Kolonija, police officers from the Special Police Operations Department, acting on a plan from the Skopje Police Department, arrested N.A. (45) and A.J. (23) from Skopje. The individuals, who were convicts but had been on leave from the Idrizovo Correctional Facility, while traveling in a passenger vehicle, a "Range Rover," on Panche Nedelkovski Street in Skopje around 8:20 PM, failed to stop at a signal from police officers and fled the scene, prompting immediate measures and actions to stop and apprehend them.
A pursuit was organized for the vehicle heading towards the bypass, and then towards the regional road Skopje-Veles, where it was intercepted by police officers near the neighborhood of Nova Kolonija. When the police officers, who were in a service vehicle, a "Mazda," attempted to overtake the "Range Rover," the driver of the "Range Rover" struck the police vehicle twice.
A police officer fired warning shots into the air, but the "Range Rover" did not stop; instead, it continued moving and veered off the road near Nova Kolonija. Inside the vehicle, five mobile phones, cash, and keys to several cars were found, and N.A. and A.J. were taken into custody. Following the documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
