Nineteen drivers arrested for reckless driving; 16 were driving without a license, including one juvenile, two were under the influence of alcohol, and one was speeding

During the past 24 hours, police officers across the country arrested 19 drivers for reckless driving.

Of those arrested, 16 were driving without a valid driver's license, including one juvenile. Two drivers were operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol, while one driver was caught exceeding the speed limit.

Eight of the unlicensed drivers were apprehended in Skopje (including the juvenile), two each in Tetovo and Kumanovo, and one each in Prilep, Bitola, Makedonski Brod, and Chashka.

One driver in Prilep and one in Ohrid were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, while one driver in Gevgelija was caught driving at a speed exceeding the legal limit.

Upon the completion of the investigation and full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges all road users to respect traffic laws and regulations, not to drive without a valid driver's license, while subject to a driving ban, or under the influence of alcohol. Together, we can contribute to safer roads for everyone.
