During the past 24 hours, across the entire territory of the country, police officers deprived 16 drivers of their liberty for reckless driving. Of these, 12 were driving without a valid driving license, including four in Tetovo (among them one minor) and two in Gostivar. Additionally, one person each in Skopje, Veles, Shtip, Sveti Nikole, Delchevo and Bitola was found driving without a license.
One driver each in Kochani and Struga was driving under the influence of alcohol, while one driver each in Kumanovo and Ohrid was driving despite having an active ban on operating a motor vehicle.
After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all participants in traffic to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive without a valid license, not to drive if a driving ban has been imposed, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol, so that together we can contribute to safer traffic.
