Over the past 24 hours, police officers across the entire territory of the state have arrested 13 drivers for "reckless driving." Among them, eight were driving without a valid driver's license, including four in Skopje, and one each in Kumanovo, Tetovo, Lipkovo, and Kičevo. One driver in Kavadarci was under the influence of alcohol, while another in Veles was operating a vehicle under a ban on driving motor vehicles. A citizen of Turkey and a citizen of Ukraine were also detained for driving on the A-1 highway, near Demir Kapija, or on the Skopje-Veles highway, at speeds double the legal limit. After thoroughly documenting the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We urge all participants in traffic to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate a vehicle without a valid driver's license, or if they are under a driving ban or under the influence of alcohol, and together we can contribute to safer traffic.
