Over the past 24 hours across the entire territory of the country, police officers arrested thirteen drivers for reckless driving, three of whom caused traffic accidents, twelve were driving without a license, and one was under the influence of alcohol.
Two drivers in Gevgelija (one was also under the influence of alcohol), and one each in Skopje, Tetovo, Gostivar, Valandovo, Debar, Ohrid, Bitola, Kumanovo, Veles, and Sveti Nikole were driving without a license. The drivers in Veles and Sveti Nikole also caused traffic accidents. One driver in Kumanovo was riding a moped under the influence of alcohol and caused a traffic accident. After fully documenting the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We urge all participants in traffic to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive without a valid driver's license or if they have been issued a ban on driving, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and together contribute to safer traffic.
