During the past 24 hours across the entire territory of the country, police officers deprived 12 drivers of liberty for reckless driving. Of these, 10 were driving without a valid driver’s license, while two were driving under the influence of alcohol.
In Skopje, two drivers were found driving without a license, one in Shtip, one in Kichevo, two in Veles, and four in Tetovo, of whom two were minors. One driver in Veles was driving under the influence of alcohol and caused a traffic accident. Another driver under the influence of alcohol was also recorded in Bitola.
After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive without a valid driver’s license, not to drive if they have been issued a driving ban, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol, so that together we can contribute to safer traffic.
