On January 6, 2026, at 11:45 a.m., on Archbishop Mihail Street in Veles, police officers from the Veles Police Department arrested A.K. (63) from Veles. Earlier, while driving a passenger vehicle “Peugeot” with Veles license plates, he collided with a passenger vehicle “BMW” with Croatian national license plates, driven by S.G. (39) from Veles.
While taking measures in connection with the traffic accident, it was established that A.K. was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 2.90 per mille. He was detained at a police station, the public prosecutor was informed, and after the event is fully documented, a criminal report will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”
