Today (23 July 2026) at 4:21 p.m., on the Skopje–Tetovo motorway near the Kondovo interchange, police officers from the Mobile Traffic Safety Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a novice driver who was driving a Volkswagen Arteon with Skopje registration plates at 211 km/h—more than twice the maximum speed limit permitted for novice drivers on a motorway.
During a traffic control using radar, officers determined that I.A. (18), as a novice driver, was travelling at a speed far exceeding the legally permitted 100 km/h.
Due to the committed criminal offence, the vehicle was seized, the driver was arrested, and taken to a police station for further legal proceedings.
