A fugitive from prison, sentenced to 13 years and 11 months, was apprehended in Skopje

Today (February 8, 2026) around 3:00 PM, police officers from the Sector for International Police Cooperation and the Police Department of Mirkovci in the village of Gluvo, Skopje, detained M.T. (39) from Kochani.  M.T. was wanted under a warrant issued by the court for escaping from the Correctional Facility Idrizovo, serving a sentence of 13 years and 11 months for committing a criminal offense under Articles 235, 236, and 237 of the Criminal Code. The individual has been taken to the Police Department of Mirkovci for further proceedings.
