Today (February 7, 2026), between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the Traffic Safety Department and the Illegal Trade Unit of the Skopje Police carried out an intensified operation, resulting in the detention of a minor for committing a criminal offense under Article 297a of the Criminal Code, reckless vehicle operation.
During the inspection of a passenger vehicle driven by N.A. (19), a knife was found, leading to a violation of the Weapons Law.
Additionally, during the operation, one passenger vehicle was seized due to the traffic permit being expired for more than six months, one sanction was issued for driving a vehicle without a valid driver's license, and one measure was taken for crossing into the opposite lane. During the operation, 40 passenger vehicles were inspected, 27 individuals were identified, and 25 vehicles were examined.
