On June 10, 2026, a Mobile Team from the Mobile Unit for Compensatory Measures within the Department of Border Affairs and Migration acted in the area of the Police Department of Kumanovo, specifically while traveling from Kumanovo towards Kriva Palanka around 4:15 PM, a freight vehicle, a "Mercedes Benz" with Kosovo license plates, was observed and subsequently stopped. Upon conducting a check, it was determined that the freight vehicle was driven by T.B.K. (26) from Turkey, and during the inspection of the cargo area, six bags were found, containing 118 pieces of leather material.
Following the instructions of the on-duty Public Prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office of Kumanovo, the individual was detained under Article 278-b "concealment of goods subject to smuggling and customs fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of North Macedonia and was taken to the Kumanovo Police Station for further proceedings.
