Throughout yesterday (February 28, 2026), police officers across the entire territory of the state detained 10 drivers. Of these, five individuals were apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol in the areas of Kumanovo, Krivogaštani, Bitola, and two in Skopje. Additionally, four individuals were sanctioned for operating a vehicle without a driver's license in the regions of Tetovo, Gostivar, Gevgelija, and Kavadarci. One driver was detained for driving with a ban on operating a vehicle of category B, specifically in Skopje. After thoroughly documenting the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We urge all participants in traffic to adhere to traffic rules and regulations, to refrain from operating a vehicle without a valid driver's test or if they have been issued a ban on driving, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and together we can contribute to safer traffic.
