The Public Prosecutor's Office in Struga has filed a criminal complaint against M.Ć. (66) from the village of Biđevo in Struga due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "abuse of official position and authority" under Article 353 of the Criminal Code. In his capacity as the mayor of the municipality of Struga, he unlawfully made a decision to dismiss the principal of a public primary school, contrary to the provisions of the Law on Primary Education, after which he appointed another person as the acting principal. He did this despite knowing that the newly appointed individual did not fully meet the requirements stipulated in Article 118 of the Law on Primary Education.
Irregularities were also identified by the inspection oversight conducted by the State Education Inspectorate.
