The Štip Police Department has filed criminal charges against M.I. (46) from Štip on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “abuse of official position and authority.”
According to the investigation, while serving as Acting Director of a municipal public kindergarten in Štip, the suspect, during the period from 12 September 2023 to 11 May 2026, repeatedly procured goods and services from 47 different legal entities without conducting the legally required public procurement procedures.
The purchases were allegedly carried out through fictitious invoices that were not accompanied by delivery notes or receipt documentation for the institution. The total value of the disputed transactions amounts to 7,747,515 denars.
By these actions, the suspect is alleged to have caused financial damage to both the municipal budget and the kindergarten in the stated amount.
