On behalf of the Unit for Economic and Computer Crime at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Skopje, and following directions from the Public Prosecutor's Office, a formal interview was carried out with three individuals concerning a report received from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy to the Public Prosecutor's Office, suspecting a criminal offense under Article 353 of the Criminal Code, "abuse of official position and authority," related to the announcement of a public call in 2023 for financial support for micro wine producers, where over 50,000,000 denars (over 820,000 euros) were distributed from the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy without any legal basis.
In relation to the case, additional documentation has been requested from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy, aimed at fully clarifying the matter.
