During the period from 10–13 November 2025, as a result of regular traffic controls carried out by police officers from all sectors of internal affairs on the roads throughout the country, out of a total of 1,518 issued fines, 498 violations were related to drivers who did not comply with the prescribed speed limits.
A total of 11 people were detained for reckless driving under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, of whom eight for driving under the influence of alcohol and three for driving at a speed higher than the permitted limit in populated areas.
Furthermore, according to the statistical overview of police activities, during the past weekend 942 violations for improper parking were recorded, 290 measures were issued to drivers operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and 48 sanctions were issued for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Additionally, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, 161 traffic participants were sanctioned for not using a seatbelt. Under the Law on Vehicles, 64 vehicles were removed from traffic due to being unregistered, and five due to technical malfunction.
Traffic controls will continue in the upcoming period. We appeal to all traffic participants to respect the traffic rules and regulations and to jointly contribute to safer roads.
