Today (29.05.2026) at around 05:00, police officers from the Regional Center West detained four persons from the Republic of Albania who were caught carrying out illegal fishing activities in the waters of Prespa Lake during a period when an active fishing ban is in force.
Checks carried out by the police established that the individuals had illegally crossed the state border.
At the scene, carp with a total weight of approximately 60 kilograms were found.
After the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against the individuals.
