On 11 July 2026, the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Skopje) received a report that at around 3:00 p.m., following a prior argument, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between a 14-year-old minor and another minor in front of a hospitality establishment in the village of Saraj, Skopje.
A short time later, in front of a retail store, the 14-year-old encountered a 16-year-old minor, who attacked him with a sharp object, inflicting serious bodily injuries. The 14-year-old then retaliated with a hard object, causing injuries to the 16-year-old.
At approximately 1:35 a.m. on 12 July 2026, the 16-year-old minor was deprived of liberty by police officers from SVR Skopje. An official interview was conducted at the police station in the presence of a parent and a lawyer. After the case is fully documented, the appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
