During the past 24 hours, police officers responded to seven reports related to domestic violence, resulting in the detention of four individuals and an official police interview with one person.
On May 31, 2026, at 08:20 a.m., on “Shtipska” Street in Tetovo, officers from the Tetovo Police Department detained G.Ќ. (44) from the village of Dobridol, Gostivar area, currently residing in Tetovo, on suspicion of committing domestic violence against his 44-year-old wife.
On May 30, 2026, at 11:15 p.m., in the Gazi Baba area of Skopje, officers from the Skopje Police Department detained N.T. (46) from Skopje after receiving a report that he had physically assaulted his parents at the family home and threatened other family members.
Earlier the same evening, at 10:45 p.m., in the Shuto Orizari area, M.B. (40) from Skopje was detained following a report that he had threatened his 41-year-old common-law partner with a sharp object and later threatened their daughter, while also damaging household property.
On May 31, 2026, at 10:20 a.m., an official police interview was conducted at the Drachevo Police Station with S.J. (63) from Skopje after a report that he had physically assaulted his 64-year-old wife.
On May 30, 2026, a 37-year-old woman reported to the Skopje Police Department that, while she was in a vehicle near her workplace with her common-law partner A.N., he poured a chemical substance onto her face and into her eyes. The victim received medical treatment at the Mother Teresa Clinical Center.
The same day, a 33-year-old woman reported that her husband, I.S. (34), had threatened her at their family home in the Bit Pazar area.
Also on May 30, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers from the Shtip Police Department detained S.U. (29) from Vinica after a report that she had physically assaulted her 51-year-old mother with a metal object, causing injuries. The victim received medical treatment at the General Hospital in Kochani.
Measures are being taken to fully investigate all cases, and appropriate charges will be filed against the perpetrators once the investigations are completed.
