The Director of the Bureau for Public Safety, Aleksandar Janev, held a working meeting with the leadership of the SVR Skopje

Today, the director of the Bureau for Public Safety at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Aleksandar Janev, conducted a working meeting with the management of SVR Skopje, during which the security situation across all municipalities under the sector's jurisdiction was thoroughly examined.

During the meeting, all mapped potentially risky locations related to the implementation of the operational action "Local Elections 2025" were analyzed, along with the number of engaged police officers, tactical plans, and specific measures being taken to ensure the complete safety and security of citizens.

Director Janev emphasized that the Skopje region represents one of the greatest security challenges, which is why a significant portion of police resources is directed there. Activities will be carried out with an increased police presence, through static points, mobile patrols, and direct control near polling places and all critical locations.

Additionally, modern technological systems will be deployed, including the "Safe City" system and aerial surveillance with drones, aimed at timely detection of potential threats and complete protection of public order and peace.

A clear message was sent that any attempt at violence, disruption of the electoral process, or any criminal activity will be prevented and sanctioned with a swift and decisive police response, regardless of the perpetrator's status, position, or affiliation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Bureau for Public Safety remain committed to ensuring peaceful, safe, and democratic elections, fully serving the citizens, the law, and the state.
