Today (February 25), the director of the Bureau for Public Safety, Aleksandar Janev, attended the awarding of certificates to police officers who successfully completed the second internal training conducted within the Ministry of Internal Affairs during his working visit to the Regional Center for Border Affairs – South.
The training was carried out by certified trainers – police officers from the Department for Combating Organized and Serious Crime, with support from the European Union's rule of law project, which also facilitated the professional training of the trainers by the Slovenian police.
With the knowledge and skills acquired, the police officers will be able to more effectively utilize sophisticated technical equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), which will contribute to enhancing security at the southern border and more successfully tackling all forms of cross-border crime.
Director Janev congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the training, emphasizing that continuous education and strengthening of professional capacities are key to the efficient and modern operation of the police in protecting the safety of citizens and the state border.
