From 27 to 28 November, a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Interior participated in the 19th Ministerial Conference of the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe, held in Strasbourg.
The conference gathered senior representatives from member states to review the latest challenges in drug and addiction policies, assess the achievements of the 2023–2025 Work Programme, and to adopt the new strategic framework for the period 2026–2029.
The Ministry’s delegation actively participated in discussions related to the fight against organized crime and international drug trafficking networks, digital risks, as well as the need for enhanced international coordination and information exchange.
The Ministerial Declaration was also adopted, reaffirming the commitment of member states to strengthen regional and international cooperation, develop modern evidence-based policies, and place a special focus on protecting children and vulnerable groups.
The Ministry of Interior remains firmly committed to aligning with European standards, improving national policies for drug prevention and combatting narcotics, and reinforcing partnerships with international organizations.
